A total of 106 laps at @autodromoimola for @ValtteriBottas today at the wheel of the @MercedesAMGF1. Underneath him? Pirelli’s new #fit4f1 18-inch 2022 tyres. The next 18-inch test for Mercedes will be on the wets at @PaulRicardTrack in France at the end of May.

That’s 64 laps for @ValtteriBottas with the 2022 Pirelli #Fit4F1 18-inch tyres this morning at @autodromoimola with @MercedesAMGF1. And he’s not done yet....

Today it's the very first time for @ValtteriBottas to test the #Fit4F1 18-inch prototype tyres for next year with @MercedesAMGF1 at @autodromoimola circuit. For all the meteorologists out there, it's sunny, 18 degrees ambient and 27 degrees on track.

As some of the long runs get going @MercedesAMGF1 is in front but a strong showing from @ScuderiaFerrari on home territory: currently P4 and P5 #F1

It’s only 12 degrees ambient and 19 degrees on track: distinctly chilly compared to normal ‘Made in Italy’ weather. And of course that makes it harder to warm up the tyres: we’ve already seen a couple of spins. #F1
