They actually report that between 60 and 70% of MLB players played at least some football in HS! This is more an adult driven issue than anything else. Recently had a fully committed D1 baseball player ask my advice on playing football his senior season. I told him that most of the ⚾️ adults will tell him not to. Most of the 🏈 adults will tell him to play. My opinion is both of these groups are coming from a selfish position and not being great mentors if they give him a straight answer like that. My advice? You already know what you want to do. Stop listening to the noise from folks with outside motives….and do what YOU want to do. He called me an hour later and said “I want to play football”. I said “well there is your answer”. And I would have said the exact same thing had he said the opposite.
