‼️Heads Up‼️ 📢Big changes are coming to Fifth and Forbes Avenues in Oakland, starting this Sunday, January 4. 🚌Buses currently using the Fifth Avenue counterflow lane will move to the future bus lane on Forbes Avenue. ❓What does this mean❓ ✅If you use one of the outbound bus stops on Fifth Avenue in Uptown or Oakland, starting Sunday, you will catch the bus on Forbes Avenue. ✅If you typically catch an inbound bus on Fifth Avenue, your bus stop won’t change. 🚧This change marks a significant milestone in the project. The service changes being implemented on January 4 reflect the final routing for the University Line routes. 🚲The counterflow bus lane on Fifth Avenue will become a two-directional bike lane.  🚌🚗🚙For now, buses on Forbes Avenue will travel in mixed traffic, so please allow additional time for travel. 🚦When construction is complete, buses will travel in a dedicated bus-only lane outbound on Forbes Avenue and inbound on Fifth Avenue. 🔗To learn more about the University Line, please visit  bit.ly/ULine-newshub. ☎️Riders with questions are encouraged to call PRT Customer Service at 412-442-2000 or visit Rideprt.org. @PghTransitCare @PghTransitAlert

Coming soon: big changes to the bus lane! @PittMobility
Oakland TMA@OaklandTMA

Transit Advisory: Outbound/eastbound transit vehicles will no longer use the existing "contraflow bus-only lane" on Fifth Ave beginning 1/4/26. The change impacts nine @PGHtransit routes: 54, 61D, 71A, 71B, 71C, 71D, 75, 93 & P3. Routes will be transitioned to using Forbes Avenue (servicing existing stops), operating in mixed traffic—notably *with* the same direction of all traffic—and sharing the road with all motorists/cyclists/pedestrians until a new (planned) bus-only lane is established on Forbes Ave in Oakland as part of the ongoing PRTX University Line bus rapid transit project. Details at bit.ly/otma-fifth-ave…
