On National Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the heroes who gave their lives protecting others. Thank you to all law enforcement officers who continue to serve with courage and integrity.

Students from Lakeside School participated in Bike Bus this morning. Bike Bus gives students the opportunity to ride their bikes, and get some exercise before school begins!

Yesterday, our Family Response Advocates participated in the Spring Community Baby Shower hosted by the Crawford County Health Department. We truly enjoyed attending this wonderful event and appreciated the opportunity to connect with families in our community.

The Pittsburg Police Department along with The Crawford County Sheriff's Office and Kansas Highway Patrol - Troop H held a Law Enforcement Torch Run this morning. We wish all the athlete's good luck in their competitions today!

Today, we recognize Administrative Professionals Day and extend our appreciation to the dedicated individuals who keep our department running smoothly. Thank you for all that you do!

Our Family Response Advocates had a great time supporting families at the Car Seat Check Lane event hosted by the Crawford County Health Department! We were proud to partner with CHC, Noon Rotary Club, and SEK-CAP to help ensure kids are riding safely in our community.

We’re continuing to celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week by highlighting two more valued members of our dispatch team — Dr. Jennifer Yoho and Kaitlyn Duck. We’re thankful for everything you do and proud to have you on our team.

Our Family Response Advocates teamed up with Crawford County Mental Health to celebrate the Week of the Young Child by handing out art bags filled with everything kids needed to create their own self-portraits.

This is a reminder that today at 3 PM the Family Response Advocates together with Crawford County Mental Health, will be handing out free art kits in front of the Pittsburg Police Department. Each kit includes craft supplies to create your own self-portrait.

The State of Kansas officially proclaimed April 6th – 10th, 2026 as Property and Evidence Professionals Week. This recognition highlights the essential work performed by Property and Evidence personnel across the state.

A big thank you to Missouri Southern State University for inviting our department to be part of the Spring Career Fair! We enjoyed meeting students, answering questions, and sharing information about careers in law enforcement.
