I don’t see it as terrible at all. The Minecraft Marketplace exists because creators invest time and effort, and many rely on it to support themselves and their families. It has grown into a whole industry that sustains thousands of people. Calling it a scam ignores the fact that it enables professional-quality content to exist. If you believe it should be different, you’re free to create your own content and offer it however you like. There’s always free content available, but let’s be honest, most people who complain about the Marketplace being a “scam” have never donated to support the creators they enjoy.

@Prowl8413 overall this is just terrible. The Mc Bedrock scamplace is by far the worst thing that exist. Mods, maps etc. should stay free. Donate them of course but being forced to pay more inside a game I already bought just feels terrible and is so anti consumer.

Looks like Hytale will have Hy-Bucks! Simon did initially say this wouldn't be a thing, but things change, and honestly, I'm fine with it. The big thing is how do you handle it? You can handle it in a consumer friendly, or consumer exploitative way.
