@rochal @WillFaucherVFX 'Select-String -pattern' is kinda similar in powershell. Short alias is "sls". Prob not as good, but works in a pinch.

It boggles my mind how terrible Windows explorer search is. I have an app that I know is installed. Tap windows key, type in app. No results except for a web page.
It’s 2024. How is searching for LOCAL FILES this terrible.

@arstechnica Honestly, I don't hate this. I couldn't care less what's on the screen when I pause it, and it doesn't interrupt what I'm watching or force me to wait. Seems win/win.

Just wrapped up Minishoot Adventures. Short and breezy, which makes it an excellent palate cleanser coming off a massive RPG. Combining a twin stick shooter with Zelda-style map/progression is such a brilliant idea, surprised I've never seen it before. They executed it perfectly.

Finally finished FF7 Rebirth. Took me about 136 hours because I did most of the side content. Easily the longest I've ever played a single player game, but I loved almost every minute of it. There's honestly not much they could have possible done better, an incredible experience.

@Dachsjaeger If it was a good version, but I would prefer it on PC, but it's UE4, so chances are it won't be. Either way, releasing it simultaneously on multiple platforms only increases the chances the PC port will be worse anyway, given they would have to stretch their resources.

I really do not understand the point of money hatting console exclusivity for the final fantasy titles. A lot of people with Xboxes and PCs would like to be playing FFVII Rebirth. On PC, if they release another half-baked, stuttery, full priced version again I will groan.

@Dachsjaeger I feel like character detail is the last thing that needs to be improved in games. It's already quite high and there are much bigger fish to fry.

Seeing "alex hates everything xbox" since I said I find it hard to judge graphical quality/player input based on the preview videos that were recently released. The videos released by other outlets had poor encoding and image quality which makes it hard to judge gfx... (1/2)

FF7 Rebirth is a great game in and of itself, but I don't think it gets enough credit for how efficiently it was developed. They managed to make a 90hr AAA game with boatloads of scripted content/cutscenes that's relatively bug free in 4 years! That's an unbelievable achievement.
