@CENEMIINO I agree with this completely! Kids need to learn that they can still protect those they care about without having powers. Yui was a great way to do that a decade ago, and now that can be taught again through Rei!

i think they'd all be great candidates but i think kurea is more past-star detective material. we know the aspirations of everyone else, it only makes sense that the girl we know nothing about aside from the skills she can offer becomes a main character thats just my reasoning!

@LetsGoPrincess4 Adding onto this, there were several people who insisted that he’s a girl even after his debut, citing the official subs’ “don’t call me boy” as evidence, when what he’s TRYING to say is a mistranslated “don’t call me kiddo”. Plus lots of guys have ponytails and earrings!

Kinda on topic but I'll never forget the day Wing's design got revealed. Everyone was praising it, saying how unique ""she"" looked. That it was cool to have a masc cure again after Akira, ect. Then when we were told wing was a boy those same people started to call him ugly 🙃

@MirayMorningst1 I’ve said this a lot, but Precure’s target audience is 3-6. Stuff that’s obvious to us might not be obvious to kids. This may be their first time with a red herring mystery, or even their first time watching a cartoon. Meet the show at its level. Remember who it’s catering to.

One of the reasons I don't buy Kurea as Eclair because how obvious it felt like after the episode. What would be point of setting a mystery and then make Luluka noticeably overreact to one of the candidates? Where is the plot twist we would expect from a season about detectives?
