@DeadlockSilver the game is still closed beta so obviously characters aren’t close to being final but deadlock has so many conceptually interesting heroes that just don’t have any story. very excited for when the visual novels release as i’ve been going manic analyzing character interactions

I lowkey kinda dislike silvers character she feels very nothing burger, her scars being basically decals before the wave of criticism was a bad omen for her character IMO The wolf is the coolest part though, the wolf is filled with aura

Literally thought her lore was she's in a group of herself from different periods of her own life so they're all the same person, hense her name. I'm so fucking disappointed she's just in some rich bitch group

@lvsckcannibal_ also the tunnels are a unique utility having different ways to navigate around the map that give towards the idea of you just being a general sneaky little creature & helps you rotate efficiently ( with the same dread of being caught via mnk or calico ) is quite fun

@lvsckcannibal_ i personally enjoy the idea of him being relatively weak but his 3 making it so you should sneak into enemy territory to steal resources to get the most value. his tag along is personally my only issue with his kit with how passive it forces you to be but otherwise he’s silly

i understand why people like his design but after playing a couple of matches as him idk why youd want to main him😭 his gameplay is so unappealing

@machinedgirl personally her design is one of my favourites, i really don’t mind the helmet as much as everyone else, bundled with the other hourglasses on her back & trench coat. also love the technological aspects of her design tied in with the formal ones, and i love a good faceless hero

might be my least favorite design from the roster i genuinely don’t really see the appeal in her design. she seems fun to play though

@F1SHERTON lifestrike, witchmail, & rapid recharge are almost always go tos for me sustainability wise as the former procs off of your bashdown and the latter 2 get you it more often. other green t4s and engage/disengage tools like leap & warpstone are always handy in a pinch

@F1SHERTON i play him more in street brawl than in normals so sustain isn’t as much of an issue but he’s a very good burst hero and you can do a lot of damage w/ 2-1-3-1 rollout, you can build for a tankier playstyle but i tend to go in more expecting to die but getting more picks

i don’t know how billy players do well with this character he’s like too clunky for me.

@xsilenceisminex i could ramble about the hero interactions forever but esp the younger heroes have more dialogues showcasing the flaws in their belief systems and how easily they are challenged

@xsilenceisminex truly one of my favourite things about deadlock is how well characterised they are in hero interactions, particularly with graves it’s very apparent the difference in her attitude when facing someone who assumes her to act like you described ( say holliday ) and when they don’t

I adore how empathetic they made her, with either the dead or children. Other devs would have written her as a stereotypical alt girl we see in media, but not Valve. Hope to see more of her lore expanded on a Visual Novel (it will happen trust)

@747shove this!! i can understand making the hand more coherent but the way the form of the hand was almost completely lost in the original as if being overwhelmed by the “boundless spirit” was so cool and is lost on the new design

Made a slight edit that adds the "falling apart" ness of the previous boundless spirit icon They then decided to update the game with a new icon with a different icon so i guess theres that one Mod in replies
