@alpassione7 @seth_barley @mariotwtconfess I didn't say she's never fought and lost before. I don't mind at all if she loses a fight. Although, it's preferable that losing a fight isn't the only thing she does in a whole movie, but still.

@seth_barley @mariotwtconfess If it was, you weren't clear at all or perhaps assumed about the original post. You were saying that there was no horrible treatment and you implied that it was accurate to game canon.

@seth_barley @sdjmjj15 @mariotwtconfess To stop Bowser Jr. from building a weapon of mass destruction? No one needs to get captured, although it may add some personal weight for Rosalina if the Lumas were held captive. Peach would then want to help her after realizing they are sisters.

@Pizza_Man64 @sdjmjj15 @mariotwtconfess Okay. Good. Here's the problem if they do that though. What motivates our characters to go on this adventure. In Galaxy, it was Peach getting kidnapped AGAIN. Do you really want to repeat that for the second movie?

@Pizza_Man64 @sdjmjj15 @mariotwtconfess Okay so here's the problem, only in 1 game out of her appearances was she an active participant in the game, and in that 1 game she just SAT in her observatory while Mario did the work. You want faithful to the games? Then Rosalina just hangs around and is Master Oogway.

@Pizza_Man64 @seth_barley @mariotwtconfess wrong lol. in mario + rabbits sparks of hope rosalina literally gets gets possessed by cursa, the main villain, so she’s essentially trapped and controlled and you literally fight her in that corrupted state to free her

@sdjmjj15 @seth_barley @mariotwtconfess Yes, it's not a rule, but no fan of hers wants to see her kidnapped. The movie would be more faithful to the games if she weren't kidnapped.

@Pizza_Man64 @seth_barley @mariotwtconfess Her not being captured ain’t some rule or part of her identity. She’s powerful in the movie and she’s the one who fixes the planet in an instance. Junior‘s tech was just powerful enough to contain her.

@Pizza_Man64 @mariotwtconfess By my count Rosalina has been featured in 4 games, now 5. Galaxy 1, the only one she's a major character in. Galaxy 2 where her ship is actively being trapped by Bowser's, Mario X Rabbids where she's corrupted, and Mario 3D World and Wonder where she's more of an after thought.

@Thenightstarise I'm not fine with it because it's a flaw in the movie itself. It's not necessarily that bad, but it ends up underdeveloped and much less interesting and impactful compared to if they adapted the storybook from Galaxy.

@JuiceMan_V Happy that she was reduced to a plot device in a cage? Sure.

The movie version of Rosalina is the most character Ive ever seen from her, personally. The fans should be happy.

@AlphaDreamFan @mariotwtconfess Yeah, I don't think this is the same thing but it's kinda subjective at this point. But in Galaxy 2, I believe it was more about Bowser draining energy from the observatory, not capturing Rosalina.

@Pizza_Man64 @mariotwtconfess She was trapped in her own observatory by Bowser and couldn’t escape as shown in the pic. For Sparks of Hope: it’s both, possession and getting captured aka kidnapping

@MagiilouMayvin Oh no, I've seen her in plenty of games. Just saying that the role of damsel-in-distress does not fit her.

@Pizza_Man64 That's really all you see her as? Out of EVERY single game she's been in? Cause there's much more to her than that. You should play the other games she's in and see how she acts and how her personality is.

You may have had the least amount of screentime in the movie and I wish you had more, but that doesn't change the fact that I still love you with all my heart and that's never going to change.

@MagiilouMayvin Her personality and general chaarcterization was accurate. The role she played was not and it did not make sense for the type of character she is: a knowledgeable guide.

@Pizza_Man64 That was good for Bowser Jr, I love that the movie made him an actual real threat. Idk what you mean by that last part, she was spot on for her character.

I’m deadass so ok with Rosalinas role in the Galaxy movie. I’m a huge Rosa fan, and I wish she did get more screen time. But I’m content with what we got because she still stood out and was very well adapted. If they don’t bring her back in the third movie, than I’m pissed off

@MagiilouMayvin I mean, true, it's a way to beat her that makes sense... but the writers never had to go that direction (of her having to 1-on-1 Bowser Jr. and getting captured) and it didn't make sense for Rosalina as far as her depictions in the games go.

@Pizza_Man64 Do I really have to spell it out? She's a very strong character who can probably best anyone 1 on 1. So how do you take someone like her down? Go for someone she loves, her Lumas were her downfall and it was obvious that was gonna lead to her being beaten and captured. Cmon now..

@Eliza_Artz @mariotwtconfess The confession above is talking about concerns of the game lore changing. I'm saying the other confession hated her role in the movie so much it's tainted their whole image of her. That person didn't mention the storybook or lore. These are two different concepts.

@Pizza_Man64 @mariotwtconfess You're saying people are just "critiquing the movie" when the confession about now disliking Rosa IS NOT DOING THAT, rather doing what the confession above is talking about.

"Mario fans do realize that Rosalina's story in the games is unchanged right? The movies are not canon to the games, they're even selling a physical version of the storybook on top of having made a second one for Galaxy 2's rerelease. Calm down"

@MagiilouMayvin I wasn't talking about whether it was expected... Still, if you actually know her character, it's the direct opposite because Rosalina never gets kidnapped in any games, unlike the other female Mario characters. If you know her character, you would never expect a kidnapping.

@Pizza_Man64 Nah I fully expected that to happen to her in the movie. It was very obvious if you know her character.

@Lord_Mordrak @PandoMigos It could've been anything that Bowser Jr. stole to power his weapon. It made no difference whether or not it was Rosalina. Also, everyone hated that Luigi was captured in the first movie just like people hate Rosa getting captured in the sequel.

@PandoMigos Finally someone said it. Far too people point to Luigi getting captured due to pure plot convenience. Yet when Rosalina gets kidnapped for an actual narrative purpose that forwards the villains goals, fans are outraged.

Scene would feel more earned if Luigi was actually in this movie more I know its the "mario BROS" movie, but hes just kinda there because he.. was captured the whole time.. Starting to notice a pattern with the Mario films
