@rising_alba I would go further. I have only heard two categories of political proposals in my life: 1. Things that do nothing for me 2. Things that mostly harm my situation Often they are both (e.g. raising taxes I pay so other people get free stuff) Overall, it's mostly it's 2).

In November 2025, a Minnesota judge, Sarah West, overturned the conviction of Abdi Fatah Yusuf, who a jury had unanimously found guilty of stealing $7.2 million through fraudulent Medicaid billing. Prosecutors showed that Yusuf ran his home health care company, Promise Health, out of a shared mailbox on Central Avenue and used the scheme to funnel taxpayer money into personal luxury spending. Jurors said the case was clear-cut and that deliberations took only a few hours. Despite that unanimous jury verdict, the judge acquitted Yusuf on all counts allowing him to walk free.
