President Trump has not said anything about The Falklands. There has been no change to official US policy over The Falklands, which are of course British territory and always will be.

The Falkland Islands are British…no matter what Donald Trump says. We must defend British Sovereign territory, and to do that we must back our armed forces. Only the Conservatives have a plan to reinstate the two child benefit, and use the savings to fund our military.

I expect the Pentagon will swiftly dismiss the dangerous reference to The Falklands which is immensely destructive for US/UK relations and will have zero support in The White House. Ronald Reagan stood with Margaret Thatcher in the defence of the sovereignty of the Falkland Islanders.
