Due to the recent ice storm and power outages in my area, I've delayed at updating the @teammindstep twitter profile. More character art and gameplay footage will be uploaded this month.
It's my personal project so I'm not going to rush it out of the wazoo. So yeah.

Anyways, I don't like the idea of venting about CG and whatnot. I'm a clear advocate for it since it cuts the workload for 2D animators. I'm just worried that with the many steps taken to integrate it that A1 Pictures is taking a step backwards with how it should be used.

I can't help but feel that maybe this anime should've gotten the Land of the Lustrous treatment and be mostly CGI? I see some amazing animated sequences but it's impossible to blend CG in 2D animation unless it's well styled like Chainsaw Man, Beast Stars, Ghost in the Shell etc.

Andddd. I'm not really sure how to feel about the first episode of Nier Automata 1.1A. It felt like they wanted to get the opening sequence over with and used blender to recreate the in game cutscenes. Some of the models and 2D animation do look interesting, though.
