"Without AI, the art takes too long". This right here is the crux of AI "artists". They are not only lazy, they do not enjoy the artistic process. To an artist such as myself, creating the art is a reward in of itself. To the AI "artist", it is a chore. They do not enjoy creating themselves. I have not updated any of my own stories in about two months. This is from a combination of sheer writer's block, stress, and of course, the shock of getting laid off which I am still processing. But guess what? During all this time, I have been pondering on what to write. And this hardship shall also translate into my art and arguably make it better. I do not just press a button to have some machine regurgitate some random bullshit that vaguely resembles what I had in mind, created from stitched together pieces stolen from other artists. Getting tired, frustrated, even art block, is part of the artistic process. It's part of what makes us better artists. And to say "Oh, too hard now, ChatGPT, write me a chapter with airship battles and gunfights!" when the going gets tough completely invalidates you as an artist.
