@chanmmm_ Iirc @Plague_2 told me that their are 3 factors for the direction that side b goes 1: It favors the input of the lower percent player 2: Side B has a slight preference for Bowser. 3: Side B has a preference for the way Bowser is facing.

Can someone tell me how to DI bowser side B and how to control which direction you go when in the grab

@jackie_peanuts @atWisely @Daramgaria For me I started out playing smash 4 Bowser which helped a ton with the learning curve. I was at tournament level with him in around 1 month but it took 6 months to be comfortable with more movement heavy characters like Greninja

ok this thing is cool but I definitely need some direction in terms of practice. anybody have tips for like movement drills or anything like that @atWisely @Plague_2 @Daramgaria @ anybody else I know who plays box?

@Parappa_GANG It's aerial palu dtilt that can linger forever but might not combo very well... I'm much more scared of that than hiyayaya

@RocknRocknrolli yeah I get that. Neutral is definitely more limited but it's still improved noticeably even from pre-covid era, people are adapting to mashing buttons a lot better

@RocknRocknrolli New discoveries are being made all the time, even for simpler characters. We've seen Leo optimizing Byleth's up B follow-ups, for example, or Glutonny finding ways to 0-death from anywhere on the stage

@RocknRocknrolli I tend to agree. My only problem is that people complain that Ultimate doesn't have much depth, meanwhile top players are innovating all the time. It just doesn't match what I see

Just got off the phone with my parents, my grandma in Nebraska passed away this morning and I can't go to the funeral because I have Covid This situation isn't about me but I'm just really sad and mad at myself for not being able to be there with my family to say goodbye

@Xyless Well they also literally can’t go Sheik likes flat levels in lots of MUs and people ban FD kalos town 98 percent of the time. back to ps2 I go cause vs lots of characters I don’t wanna deal with tri plats. Our stage list ironically removes counterpicking stages from the meta

I hope riptide data shows that most people are just playing PS2 and SBF for entire sets. Chicago’s big ugly stage list has lots of stages but plenty of bans so you can ban entire layout structures, which ironically means you never get to have your counter pick Less stages pls

@jackie_peanuts my box is standard. only significant remaps I did are on the right hand, mostly to mirror a GCC button layout and make the c stick feel more intuitive

@Plague_2 did you just get a standard box? do you change your controls from usual defaults or anything?

do I know anybody who is both left handed and plays on a smash box? honestly think that's the only thing holding me back at this point, and that's probably silly but idk
