Asphalt paving on Wallin Drive, from IL-126 to Presidential Avenue, is scheduled for Monday, May 11. Motorists should expect delays and intermittent lane closures, with traffic control and flaggers in place. Please use caution and allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Roadwork on Wallin Drive, from IL-126 to Presidential Avenue, will begin tomorrow. The project includes milling the existing pavement, placing asphalt, and installing pavement markings. Construction is expected to be completed within two weeks.

In celebration of Arbor Day, Girl Scout Troop 75943 helped us plant 50 Shagbark Hickory saplings and a Shumard Oak at the Riverfront. It was a fantastic volunteer effort and the troop worked hard planting all of the saplings! #ArborDay #PlantATree #TreeCityUSA

Yard waste collection begins with your first pickup in April. Brush, grass clippings, and leaves should be placed in brown yard waste bags or a Waste Management yard waste cart. Branches must be tied in 4-foot bundles weighing 50 pounds or less.

On Saturday, March 28, the Public Works Department will be installing traffic control devices on Lockport Street, east of Hartong, near the railroad crossing. Work will begin at 6 a.m. and last until approximately 9 a.m. A flagger will be on-site to direct traffic.

The Village logo brick paver medallion, located at the intersection of Lockport Street & Des Plaines, is scheduled for maintenance on Saturday, 3/21. Work will begin at 6 a.m. and last until approximately 8 a.m. Temporary lane closures will impact both travel lanes.
