The algo is doing you favors. THE SYSTEM IS NOT BROKEN. It is doing EXACTLY what it is supposed to do.. ..or something like that.

The idea of a dislike button makes me concerned, how will dislikes affect posts in the algorithm? Currently if your post doesn't receive significant traction in the first few minutes to an hour you basically just fade into obscurity, so will dislikes be negatively impacting your posts? A single dislike could completely derail a post and become the deciding factor in being seen or fading into the rest of the noise. Why do we even need a dislike button? Not liking something is akin to disliking it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ This feels like a completely manipulatable model that will be heavily abused by negative actors, and the protection is supposed to be... Subscribers/Verified accounts only? I don't know about the rest of you but my DMs are flooded with verified accounts that are bots and scammers, $8 a month is chump change for these people to make your lives more difficult. I hope @X will reconsider this idea 🫤
