Dit moet echt gestopt worden. Oneerlijke concurrentie vanwege Chinese producenten. Dit heeft niets met open vrijhandel te maken. Temidden al het oorlogsgedoe mogen de dreigingen vanwege China niet uit het oog verloren worden.

Wie het gemist heeft: vanaf 4 april mogen berichtendiensten (whatsapp,...) uw berichten niet meer zonder onderscheid scannen, omdat het voorstel om #ChatControl 1.0 te verlengen niet werd goedgekeurd. Wie stemde wél voor het voorstel? @de_NVA (en @MR_officiel). Ze wilden zelfs een straffere versie van wat uiteindelijk ter stemming voorkwam, want ze stemden tégen een amendement dat het verzwakte. Hieronder drie screenshots met wat @FranckenTheo, @MichaelFreilich en @jeroen_bergers over #ChatControl nog geen half jaar geleden te zeggen hadden. Ik denk dat een uitleg op zijn plaats is. Een pluim voor @pvdabelgie en #Groen die het als enige Vlaamse partijen consequent voor uw privacy opnamen. Partijen zoals de N-VA verwijten Europa nogal eens dikwijls een gebrek aan transparantie en democratische legitimiteit. Dat klopt, maar alleen omdat partijen zoals de hunne misbruik maken van de Europese complexiteit om A te zeggen en ondertussen in Europa B te doen. En omdat journalisten het ofwel zelf niet snappen, ofwel niet uitgelegd krijgen.

Duidelijk belangrijker dan zijn parlementair mandaat. Het kot zou te klein zijn, en terecht. Maar in de @de_NVA-fractie zwaait hij gewoon de plak, en in ons parlement is zijn invloed op geopolitiek beleid bijzonder groot als lid van o.m. de commissies digitalisering, landsverdediging, en buitenlandse betrekkingen. Ik vind dat onvoorstelbaar.

This is objectively extraordinary: x.com/clashreport/st… Jake Sullivan, one of the most senior former U.S. officials, says that the U.S. is in a war aimed solely at destroying Iran, one of humanity's oldest civilizations, against the U.S.'s own interests, at the behest of Israel, a 76-year-old state. Listen to the video: he says that Israel's objective in the war "is just break Iran -cause chaos," basically destroy the country, "because as far as they’re concerned, a broken Iran is less of a threat to Israel." Which he says is not in the US's interests "because a broken Iran means a broken global economy, as they continue to threaten the Straits of Hormuz. It means a potential refugee flow, like we saw after the war in Syria into Europe." He also says the Trump administration cannot answer what their own objective is in the war "because they don't know why they're there in the first place," implying that they're there mainly at the behest of Israel (otherwise they'd be able to articulate at least one reason). The curse of the "former official" strikes again... This is the same Jake Sullivan who, as National Security Advisor, oversaw the unconditional U.S. support for Israel's destruction of Gaza. Apparently breaking a people at the behest of Israel is only bad when a different administration does it...

@JunkScience You are so terribly ignorant and misinformed on this topic. Iran never had a nuclear weapon and the murdered leaders had a fatwa on the development of WMD.

Two points on "Iran war's environmental toll": 1. Imagine the damage to the environment and public health caused by an Iranian nuclear weapon. 2. The Iran war and collateral damage to the environment would halt if Iran's terrorist government just surrendered. Why doesn't the media urge the terrorists to give up?
