A #citizenscience project for #gardeners reporting ornamental #plants from inside #gardens, that may be at risk to spread outside.

Himalayan Honeysuckle Leycesteria formosa, a 'Medium Impact' invasive species of woodland and hedges. Once planted for pheasants, birds love it-and spread it! Its nectar is so tasty, bees may pollinate it in preference to native species. @BSBIbotany @NPWSIreland #invasivespecies

Look at this shit mind ,just came out and as I did there was a bloke talking to another resident, one had a weel Barrow of garden waste going in to dump it ,sighns up as you go in saying don't dump your garden waste, I wanted to say something but when I loose my shit I rev big.

Unusual monocultures. This pernicious invader is Green Alkanet (Pentaglottis sempervirens, Boraginaceae). In Silwood Park and other parts of East Berkshire it eliminates all the many native species that previously occupied this habitat (lightly-shaded banks). But it's OK for bees
