Being a Black women in STEM and especially in marine science means emotionally preparing yourself for being the only one in the room. I recently had an experience that I want to discuss and hope you’ll read about⬇️

@Curly_Biologist This was me as a white women in science 20 years ago. I can only imagine how hard it is being a black woman in science. The intersection of sexism and racism would be overwhelming. Thank you for being a trailblazer for the next generation!
