My computer is sitting there comfortably, with the expensive cooling system I bought for it, while I gradually melt into my chair. This is not an equal relationship.

Most US style window units won't work over here because - I learned today - Americans and Brits do not build windows the same way. Ours are hinged and open outward like doors, we generally don't have the sliding/vertical-hung/hatch style windows your air con units fit to. (One of the many thousands of ways nothing in the UK is designed for warm weather.)

@LeoWaldock I bought an aircon unit last year thinking I was being very clever. But I don't think we know how to make Aircon units in this country, because the pipe going to the window radiates so much heat that the room gets warmer.

Emblematic of the entire show. There were people on (and behind) The Boys with genuine talent. But they were kneecapped by the guy in charge, the sum total of whose personal and artistic ambition is pissing off some transient chud.
The Boys is, in the end, a satire of its creator.
