@pips_daily 1. You need a system 2. That system needs an edge 3. You need to have backtested your system to have confidence in your edge. 4. You can trade you system without making mistakes (less than 1 mistake in 20 trades) 5. You record your trades meticoulously

@Alpha_Reeyah Yeah absolutely, if I get a broker that doesn't ask for minimum fees. I'd risk 1$ per trade so at most I'd trade 3,333 in size (not lots, 3,333)... would take me with my FX system if I compound after every trade around ... 2-5 years.

@tradrewithai_kc Depends, if you aren't scared of math the books by Ernest Chan, otherwise Advanced Futures Trading Strategies by Carver. They are the few books that teach how to build real trading systems and trading strategies.

Traders, what is your favorite book? 📚 Please other than "Trading in the Zone". It's a great book but I feel it's the only one most people read.

@tradernickfx Trading Psychology is irrelevant *period*. If you have an edge the only thing that matters is grinding it out. If you don't have an edge no amount of trading psychology bullshit will make you profitable. TP issues are 99.99% trading system issues.

Don’t even try to tell me that ICT hasn’t started the Robbins Cup… He posted in Feb this statement. Since then it’s been crickets after multiple times claiming he would post more… I wonder why he hasn’t posted the statements like he said. What could possibly be the reason????

@6IXTH7ENSE Of course it isn't sustainable. It's predatory and relies on losing traders paying challenge fees. Otoh you can just gamble your way to massive payouts that totally fuck over the company (gg ez get rekt lol) It's a bad business and need to die. Prop firms aren't for traders.

The current Prop trading model is not sustainable in the long term; it has repeatedly been shown that they rarely last beyond one or two years at most. It would be interesting to see the data on news trading, as we clearly have a higher number of account breaches. However, is it significantly higher than the few individuals who trade $30-50k per event? The primary issue with prop firms today is not A-Booking proficient traders, and if they do, failing to inform them is a considerable disadvantage. If I were aware that I was being A-Booked, obviously I would ask for a better condition and some perks but in return I would refrain from risking funded accounts on high-impact news events such as NFP, CPI, PPI, etc. Many traders, including myself, would likely adopt a more conservative risk management approach and exercise greater caution with our overall exposure. In other words, I do think prop firms should be more open towards their good traders and appreciate the good ones as I see this mutually beneficial. Thoughts?
