
My weekend FRIDAY 8:24a PT - Uber takes me to SeaTac 10:15a - flight to Chicago delayed because woman on plane from previous flight was refusing to get off 11:16a - wheels up to Chicago, order inflight internet, finish my storylines for Wisconsin and look up everything about Baylor’s players, trends, history, etc. 4:39p CT - land at O’Hare 5:15p - connection to Madison delayed, listen to podcasts previewing UW-UW, review flash cards of Badgers players names/numbers, critique our call of UW vs Illinois 8:08p - wheels up to Madison 8:36p - landed in Madison 9:19p - arrived at team hotel 9:34p - 2 miles on treadmill, order dinner for room, shower, read game notes, call wife 11:33p - lights out SATURDAY 7:45a CT - wake up, crew meeting over breakfast, shower, get dressed, review notes 11:00a - Uber with crew to Camp Randall 11:40a - set up the booth 12:15p - visit Softy/Greg for pregame segment 1:30p - sign on from Madison 3:45p - kickoff 7:39p - stand in sleet for 15 mins waiting on uber back to hotel 8:15p - arrive at hotel, dinner, visit with UW supporters at hotel, kindly but firmly refuse shots from @Softykjr 10:21p - pack up hotel room 10:55p - lights out SUNDAY (26-hour day on 5 hrs of sleep) 4:10a CT - wake up/uber to airport 5:35a - board plane in Madison 5:58a - plane de-icing 6:22a - wheels up to Dallas 8:43a - touched down at DFW 9:25a - pick up rental car 11:00a - church with co-best man I haven’t seen in 3+ yrs in Fort Worth 2:15p - drop off rental car in Waco 2:56p - get to hotel and root on UW women’s soccer 3:30p - team dinner 4:17p - review notes on Baylor 6:10p - bus to Foster Pavilion 6:26p - interview Coach Sprinkle in locker room 7:00p - sign on broadcast from Baylor 10:38p - board bus to Waco airport 11:28p - wheels up 2:20a MT - land in Boise to refuel 2:51a - wheels up again 3:20a PT - land at Boeing Field 4:01a PT - uber drops me off at front door They say if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. I disagree. I think if you love what you do, you’ll never work harder on anything else, and that’s why you’ll be successful at what you love. Happy to be home and grateful to do this everyday. 🙏
