There is something very deep concerning when you have people defend Sony and PlayStation going full digital, like it's a good thing taking away that choice What do people benefit from defending Sony? I just don't get it

@PlayStation Sony doesn't get that discs are for some gamers a big part of gaming. This announcement slaps everybody who loves discs, who made you what you are, in the face. Ignoring it makes it even worse. Image change is unbelievable crazy and to the worst possible.

@squareenix_jp It's my favorite game of all time. I'm glad I could play it in my childhood and replay it in the remastered version on disk. I had hope it would be a remake instead of only a remaster but the music was great and that you could switch between old and new even better. FFX <3

@PlayStation so ein Imagewandel hab ich noch nie erlebt. Schade Sony. Das ist crazy, was ein Post zum Wegfall der Disk verändert hat in der Beziehung langzeitfans zu Sony. Disks gehören zum Spielerlebnis für einige Spieler dazu. Es ist komplett daneben, diese spieler so zu behandeln.

@EatPantGames wurd euer Spiel bei Playstation gepostet? Weil wenn ja einfach digital für PC rausbringen, sollte viele auch zufrieden stellen. Es wäre auch irrwitzig von einem kleinen Studio zu verlangen diese ganzen Kosten für Retail auf sich zu nehmen.

We’ve literally had people tell us to CANCEL our digital release and do physical only. IDK if people realise that we are just 2 people and this is our first game. We’d LOVE to do physical & we support physical ownership but our game kinda has to do well digitally first 🤷

@PlayStation Bad decision to get rid of discs. One big argument for your console if you choose to play. now you compete with pc without a needed subscription for online gaming. And beside that how you treat your longtime fans is really the worst I've seen a company do in a long time.

@PlayStation Oh it's the greedy Sony Company that lost the trust of their longtime fans. Disks are a consumer friendly option but that wouldn't fit the new Image of Sony.

@PlayStation All these people in the comments were once fans of playstation. I feel like Sony should have handled it better. Fans who buy discs are often the longest fans there are. The good image gone, it's a shame what Sony has become. This is really bad PR for the future!
