If Genshin has actual good dialogues that aren't incredibly bloated, unnecesary and overcomplicated just to explain something simple, then maybe there will be more people who will be engaged in the story.

@scatterjanuary @pinionfeathered these jrpgs are also intended to be replayed multiple times, generally speaking, so skipping story sequences is important there
gacha games are not designed around the assumption you would make multiple accounts

@PlayepQ @pinionfeathered and a bunch of these jrpgs had a way to skip the dialogue or go through it super fast without having to wait for the character to do a backflip at the end of their speech

@ArchyPoppy @EliraEclipse yea but i mean if you've ever played any other videogame with an emphasis on narrative ever, you would know the shot reverse shot dialogue interactions between characters making up a bulk of the story bits is quite normal, with more cinematic sequences being sporadic highlights
