@ActChristie @forestvanslyke Wouldn’t the true polar opposite of the woke left be traditional conservatives though? The MAGA crowd seems to share some similar temperaments as on the far left, but I get the impression they’ve helped make the right less puritanical, especially compared to how it used to be.

@PleaseAskAlice @forestvanslyke I’ve heard “woke right” or “woke reich” as in the polar opposite of the woke left. Hitler worshipping, only straight white christian men as voting and participating citizens, women hating, Jew hating. Truly vile. Conservatives are as varied in thought as liberals.

Since I left wokeism I’ve tried to stay off social media, but when I go on I see people constantly sharing posts about how crazy woke people are—and it feels like leaving a cult and then watching people post about how crazy that cult is for entertainment. It’s not that I don’t care about the state of society. I’m writing a book about it. It’s that I’m traumatized and trying to move on with my life, and I can’t even go to therapy because the therapists covered by the government are woke. Instead of laughing about how crazy woke people are, I’d like to see more people talking about what we’re going to do to fix the West.

@forestvanslyke Oh, the “woke right” is certainly real—I just find it a bit puzzling when folks treat MAGA as the woke side of the right, when they seem to be the reason the right has become less puritanical, more diverse in thought, and easier to talk to these days.

Idaho’s new anti-Trans bathroom ban could result in LIFE IN PRISON for Trans folks. After 2 violations of the law you could be imprisoned up to 5 years. And after 4 is when you could be sentenced to life in prison. Life in prison for simply existing as our true selves.

@elegationvain I imagine this also compounds with the fact that some heterosexual females are exclusively attracted to femininity. A lot of them end up identifying as lesbians because they have no words for what they feel, and because the existence of femboys was hidden until recently.

It does... but how? This is my hypothesis: Prior to taking T, AAP women could channel their sexuality into masculine affirming relationships with other women, and ignore any (what would feel like feminizing) attraction to men. This is known as meta-attraction- attraction rooted in affirming one's self conception. (side note: this is also why so many AGPs are gay bottoms) Turn their libido up to 11, and ignoring attraction to men becomes impossible. Most hate it. It's very disturbing to their sense of self to suddenly want to sleep with men. Others don't mind, because the testosterone has masculinized their bodies and voices so much, they're no longer reliant on relationships with other women to manifest their masculine self-expression. These are the ones who adopt a "gay man" identity. For some this reverses with stopping T, most others, from what I have heard and read, it doesn't. The attraction to men remains, but many opt to intentionally ignore it in favor of re-adopting a lesbian identity.

But all of them need a safe place to pee. That’s why unisex bathrooms should exist right alongside single-sex ones.

Most women want privacy. The solution is for males to use men’s spaces. What then, all sports become unisex to accommodate males? Goodbye female sports too

@Emmmmmaaaaaaa__ Gender dysphoria isn’t a medical condition. It’s the pathologization of body dysmorphia in trans people. There’s a reason trans women were essentially screened for high-functioning narcissism until the 2010s—those folks often heal more easily from surgery than emotional wounds.

@pulverdoom I’m grateful to President Trump for stepping in to address the way trans folks have been subjected to medical experimentation by the left over the past century. But forcibly medically detransitioning folk is just as harmful and unacceptable.

@JennaFights4You Take care of yourself first. Women, trans or not, have this terrible habit of gatekeeping womanhood no matter what someone’s sex is. It’s exhausting. A social media break and/or margaritas on the beach are absolutely warranted.

It’s wild how the legal system spent a century treating trans folk as real only if they assimilated into the opposite sex—only to then threaten with with prison time for doing just that.

Because of their appearance, if they obeyed the law and went into a women's bathroom, any cis women in there would instantly think that they are creeps, and call the cops on them.

I want trans folks to be included and to have safe spaces to pee—I just want that inclusion built on a healthier, more honest foundation.

Single-sex spaces matter, but we need to put some actual thought into better bathroom design before slapping folk with life-ruining fines or prison time.

Some smoke in no smoking areas, some drive above the speed limit. Do as you please but if you end up in prison, it was your choice.

It violates the consent of those who don't want the opposite sex in those private areas. It also creates a hierarchy among trans folk, where those who medically transition 'earn' access to opposite-sex spaces.

@s0ftbl0cked @IsabellaScar2 I mean, I’ve never used the opposite-sex bathroom for trans reasons—and I’m pretty sure I’d qualify for life in prison based on times I've used the single-stall men’s room when the women’s was full, or that time I just flat-out walked into the wrong one. So yeah, it’s alarming

@thepeacepoet99 While I initially misread this and thought it was an SNL sketch until the ending, I do think it serves as a useful training example to help ensure folks whose ability to express material reality is hindered by linguistic confusion can still receive appropriate medical care.

Why is a clinical training video on how to treat lesbians an SNL skit about a man’s estrogenized penis?

@Dynastus Arranged marriage can be a beautiful thing, but only if it’s a choice. Some folks need the security of a system that reliably ensures a vetted match to build a household together. Other folks need the freedom to make friends and fall in love on their own terms.

The older my kids get, the more I wonder if arranged/encouraged marriages are the right play. Thoughts?

@JennaFights4You I think it was because I saw you mention SRS, and most of the folk I’ve run into who pursued that were pretty hardcore transmedicalists, so I kind of jumped to a conclusion. Plus, I tend to treat this place like Omegle and don’t really look at who anyone is before I comment.
