🏸 KS3 Badminton Tournament Success! 💪Pleckgate entered a Year 9 A team and Year 8 B team, who showed fantastic determination & sportsmanship throughout the tournament. 👏Both teams won many of their matches, finishing an impressive 2nd and 3rd overall.

🏏 Lunchtime Cricket Club is thriving at Pleckgate! 🏅Pupils from different year groups are turning up each week to develop their batting & bowling skills in the sports hall. 👏With five cricket lanes set up, everyone gets plenty of chances to practise & stay active.

💪 Lunchtime Fitness Club is thriving! 👏More pupils are choosing to stay active during break, showing fantastic commitment and enthusiasm. 🏆The positive atmosphere, teamwork and determination are already boosting fitness, confidence and focus in afternoon lessons.

🚚 Our Year 10 pupils had a fantastic workplace visit to Staci Logistics today! 👏They took part in practical tasks, enjoyed a tour of the site, and learned about the many different roles and functions. 🩷A big thank you to Staci for providing such a valuable insight.

🏐 Year 7 Netball Victory! ⚡️“It’s like thunder, lightning – Pleckgate netball are frightening!” 🏆Despite the challenge of fasting during Ramadan, our Year 7 team secured a brilliant 2–1 win vs OLSJ after months of hard work and dedication.

📚 World Book Day at Pleckgate High School! 🔖We’re celebrating with a full day dedicated to reading, creativity and imagination. 📖 Pupils are taking part in our Dive Into Five reading plan, sharing selected texts across the school & celebrating the power of stories together.

📚 Year 7 went “All In” for World Book Day! 👏As part of the celebrations, pupils chose a favourite book and created a WOW-factor piece inspired by it. From detailed illustrations to impressive models, the creativity has been incredible. 🏆 Stay tuned for the winners!

🎨 Pupils had a fantastic time in yesterday’s visiting artist workshop with artist @EMELBI_artist. ✨Pupils stayed fully engaged throughout and produced an impressive standard of work, designing their own illustrative characters using ink & mixed media.

🎓 It’s #NationalCareersWeek 🌟This week, pupils are exploring future pathways through a range of careers activities across school. 💬 Tutor time includes discussions & reflection tasks including looking back at our recent Careers Fair and the opportunities discovered.

🪄Magician Snoop wowed the crowd as we hosted a special magic show for pupils who achieved 100% attendance, excellent achievement points and demonstrated great behaviour. 👏A fantastic way to celebrate commitment, positivity and hard work, well done to all involved!

🎨These amazing mixed media sweet artworks, inspired by the bold and vibrant style of Sarah Graham, have been produced by our incredibly talented Year 9 artists. ✨The quality and attention to detail is outstanding, we are so proud of their creativity and skill!
