@x_ark_kresyx @SuRge_VT Actually a good chunk of distributors do mechanical licensing for you! Like Soundrop or TooLost, you just have to pay a fee per cover, which I believe is like $15 for TooLost and $5 for Soundrop, so the biggest immediate expense on the music end is instrumental, still pricey tho

you’ve got to pay for:
• mechanical license
• commissioned instrumentals
optional if you want to meet the standards:
• mixing + mastering
• vocal tuning + timing
• mv + motion graphics
• art + illustration
