@billgnofficial If we're talking about high loads, we need to analyze the type of load. Typically, services have 90% read traffic and 10% write traffic. If you need a relational database, create a cluster with one master node (for writing) and several replica nodes (for reading).

What is the best database right now ? Appreciate all the suggestions and why you prefer it.

There are two most popular types of databases: Relational databases (mysql, postgresql, etc...) and page-based databases (mongodb). They solve different problems. For storing users, transactions, and any other data with multiple relationships, choose a relational database. If you need to store conversations (in a chat service), choose a page-based database. No one is stopping you from using both databases at once. There's also a database like Redis, which is used for caching, queues, and other non-critical data. My choice is PostgreSQL + MongoDB
