Plympton Fire and Police are on scene at the electrical sub-station on Brook St with an electrical fire causing a power outage. The fire is not a threat, but can not be extinguished until the power company confirms the power is shut off. The power company is arriving now.
At 6:15pm Plympton Fire and Police responded to 46 Elm St for a truck that struck a telephone pole. mutual Aid was called to assist with patient care. 1 patient was transported to BI Plymouth with non-life threatening injuries.Elm St. Remains closed due to live wires and hazards.

Congratulations to the graduates of Plympton/Halifax CERT Team. For the past several weeks community volunteers have been participating in training from the Halifax and Plympton Fire Departments and Police Departments, led by community volunteer and CERT Trainer Nancy Eriksson.
At 7:51 pm Plympton Fire was dispatched to the power sub-station on Brook St. for an electrical fire that started a brush fire. Eversource responded quickly and killed the power.The fire was quickly extinguished.Kingston Fire assisted at the scene.(Photos Courtesy: Steve Enright)

Please avoid the are of Brook St at the electrical sub-station. There are lines down and a brush fire in the area. Reports of power outages in the area. Power company has been notified and is enroute.
