We collected paleomagnetic samples from Jama Vilenica Cave – first touristic cave in the world (since 1633) – together with colleagues from Karst Research Institute in Slovenia (ZRC SAZU) to understand timing of tectonic regimes in the karst system. Photos by Jaka Jakofcic

Our last year PhD student Hakan Ucar gave the second talk from our lab in the Castle Meeting yesterday morning! It was about a new paleomagnetic record from a Central European lake sediment of Holocene age.

Today, our PhD student Simon Kdyr gave a nice talk about his recent paper on complex remagnetization processes in Jurassic-Cretaceous limestones at the Castle Meeting in Utrecht, Netherlands!

Last week, we were sampling two Germanic ovens (0-500 AD) in Sluštice archeological site, Central Bohemia together with colleagues from @GFU_AVCR for paleomagnetic analyses.
