@PAlfredoS08 @Pursuit0fIncome @DevotedDividend That sounds really tough. Respect for pushing through that.Makes total sense why you’d lean towards diversification after that experience.I’m still early in my journey, but definitely trying to be more mindful about risk as well.

@PnlForFamily @Pursuit0fIncome @DevotedDividend Definitely feel so, but i'm probably very biased. Until not so long ago my family had all the eggs in one basket. The biggest export company in our country by far.. the govt called us terrorists and traffickers, etc. Had to flee with literally nothing

$SCHD $VYM $FDVV $HDV can be the dividend growth backbone of a portfolio 📈 Pair them with income-focused ETFs like $SPYI $QQQI $JEPI Now you’re earning cash flow today while still growing income over time 💸 Small moves today → big financial freedom later 🤑🔖

@PAlfredoS08 @Pursuit0fIncome @DevotedDividend Nice, that’s a pretty diversified setup.I’m much more concentrated right now with just a few positions.Still figuring out what works best for me — focus vs diversification. Do you feel like this many positions helps you manage risk better?

@PnlForFamily @Pursuit0fIncome @DevotedDividend mixing right now; as you can see I haven't really found my "balance" yet😅 I'm probably going to tilt a bit more to growth than income in my next purchase (I add when I get paid at the end of each month)

@PSInvestor Yeah, $LCID has been under pressure for a while.Makes sense not to stack too much risk.I’m trying to be careful with position sizing as well. Do you usually stick with LEAPS for names like this?

@PnlForFamily Me too. This is a tough one. I'm already holding bags with LCID, so I don't want to get another one. Just LEAPS are OK—I can handle that risk.

Played a $RIVN put off the demo drive disappointment for fun🤣and closed it at +50%. Not bearish. Just took the short-term setup and moved on. Still holding my longer-dated $25 calls because I think $RIVN does well over time. No need to get greedy. Fair exit?

@PAlfredoS08 @Pursuit0fIncome @DevotedDividend That’s a good point. I like the idea of DRIP, especially in volatile markets. Still figuring things out on my side, but makes sense to have some income exposure too. Are you mainly focused on dividends right now or a mix?

@PnlForFamily @Pursuit0fIncome @DevotedDividend I'm new to investing too, but in my opinion income strategies do work well in volatile markets. With DRIP it would basically perform an automatic DCA without having to put more cash in in case you have none, and also likely 'buys the dips'

@Pursuit0fIncome @DevotedDividend That makes sense. I just started trading recently, so still figuring things out. Leaning more towards growth for now, but curious — do you think income strategies make sense in a volatile market like this?

@PnlForFamily @DevotedDividend Depends on your timeline. I think, overall, you want to be more conservative considering the market volatility. $SCHD or other ETFs that tend to be more defensive are great picks in order to get the dividends but protect your cash (and grow it of course).

$OXY $OXY continues to show strong bullish structure, printing another solid continuation candle into the weekly close, reinforcing that buyers remain firmly in control. Since the breakout above descending resistance that we identified back on February 1 in the post below, price action has been characterized by sustained momentum, with no signs of a bearish pivot or exhaustion pattern forming yet. The 50-day moving average is now curling higher and trending toward a potential bullish alignment with the 200-day, which further supports the strength of the trend. This is a stock where bulls are consistently stepping in on intra week dips and not allowing sellers to gain any traction, while shorts remain trapped or sidelined. Until we see a clear shift in structure, such as a bearish pivot reversal, trend continuation remains the dominant bias, and bulls continue to have full control of price action. $OXY $OXY delivered an important technical shift last week as price broke above descending resistance and successfully reclaimed its 50 EMA, signaling a change in character from corrective to constructive. From a pattern perspective, the structure resembles a variation of an Adam and Eve bottom, where the sharp, emotional selloff phase is followed by a more rounded basing process, reflecting a transition from panic-driven selling to steady accumulation. Psychologically, this tells us sellers might be losing control while buyers are stepping in with increasing confidence, using pullbacks to build positions rather than exit them. The reclaim of the 50 EMA reinforces that momentum is rotating back in favor of the bulls, and as long as price can hold above this level, the bias remains to the upside. Continued consolidation above former resistance would further validate the bottoming process and open the door for higher prices as trend participants reengage on the long side.
