In 1995 a 37-year old school teacher from Dayton Ohio recorded 28 indie rock songs. Allegedly, most of the album budget was spent on purchasing beer for the band with only $10 being used on production. It's one of the strangest records I've listened to.

in 1969, a 17-year old girl from michigan recorded 2 dreamy folk songs with an acoustic guitar. it got air time on a local radio, but she moved to college & gave up on music, fading into obscurity. 50 years later, in 2018, her music was re-discovered in a dusty box of old tapes.
