The King died peacefully at Windsor Castle this evening. The King will remain at Windsor Castle this evening and will return to London tomorrow.

Personnel from the Grenadier Guards have taken part in a service of remembrance in central London. Black Sunday is a regimental day when serving and former Grenadier Guardsmen come together to pay tribute to those killed and injured.

The King's Birthday Parade, known as Trooping the Colour took place at Windsor Castle today. This year, The Prince of Wales, Colonel of the Welsh Guards took the salute at Windsor Castle.

It was a pleasure to attend the Trooping the Colour ceremony at Windsor Castle today. Such a majestic tradition celebrating His Majesty's Official Birthday and the incredible heritage of our armed forces.

Today, I had the honour of hosting officials from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office at Highgrove House. I expressed my gratitude for their dedicated work behind the scenes, essential to advancing the nation's diplomatic efforts and fostering global cooperation.

This was the 11th occasion on which The King has opened Parliament #StateOpening.

Wishing Captain Milbanke all the success as he takes leave from his esteemed position in the Grenadier Guards this evening. His unwavering dedication has undoubtedly left an indelible mark, and his departure will be deeply felt within the British Forces.

📣 The doctors having advised the King to take some rest, His Majesty will not be present at the Royal Easter Matins this coming Sunday. The Prince of Wales will attend on his behalf, accompanied by members of the Royal Family.

Since his Accession, The King has been Colonel-in-Chief of the Household Cavalry. The Prince of Wales has been Colonel of the Blues and Royals since August 2023.

“Two years ago you welcomed me here. It is only fitting that I should be here to say farewell.” The King and The Prince of Wales visited The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment at Knightsbridge Barracks today and took the salute at the decommissioning parade.
