in 2022 apparently being paid in exposure is still a thing

@PointNorthBand that is not the point and my rate varies based on what the artist has in their budget. i recommend speaking to your past photographers or the other acts’ photographers and take a look at how photographers in your replies are reacting. take note.

@PointNorthBand i’ve photographed a variety of artists in my short career so far and even students paid. take a look at all of the quote tweets on your post of people who are tired of being unpaid for their craft. you can hire a photographer for your tour while still inviting people to shoot it

@onlexipro I have actually paid thousands to play shows haha and we actually are trying to uplift the community that’s kinda the whole point but i understand where you’re coming from

@PointNorthBand photographers have to be comfortable with it because it’s sometimes the only way we can actually get gigs in order to try to work our way up. this is especially true for female photographers who are constantly passed up for tour opportunities
