Earlier yesterday my son Kishan went to the gym. He was working out when he was rudely interrupted by a “Karen” who was mad at him for occupying a particular machine. Apparently she was planning on using the machine Kishan was using, and got mad at him for occupying it. The conversation went like this: Karen: I was planning on using this. You occupied it. Kishan: ** Nonchalantly** oh ok! My bad. (Continues to work out) Karen: ** Triggered** You know a lady is standing in front of you??! Kishan: Ugh, lady?? Okk. Congratulations I guess, Ma’am. Karen: **Infuriated** Marches to the manager of the gym to complain. Brings the manager to the workout area and complains. After the manager gets Kishan’s side of the story, he determines Karen is just being Karen, and politely asks her to wait until Kishan is done, because he occupied the machine first. Kishan addresses Karen in front of the manager: Ma’am, I was not intending to disrespect you. I am a teenager and you are probably older than my mother (ouch!!!). I occupied the machine first, I was minding my business and working out. You tried to get in my personal space, and pull out the gender card. Once I am done with my reps, you can take the machine. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But I am happy my kid respectfully stood his ground.🙌
