@pokedata_io @okJLUV Sure glad wikipedia and the wayback machine doesn't have this approach. I'm sure if you paywall'd an API key, it would cover the cost of hosting and offer a way for other websites to integrate with yours.

@okJLUV We do release 6 months of pricing history for free, but a subscription fee was necessary to cover the costs of the site and keep it running for fellow collectors.

went to grab a price chart for a vid from @pokedata_io only to see they are charging $6 a month for historical price data...absolutely wild, we're really just putting subscription fees on anything these days lmao

There are a TON of Instagram accounts that have "Pokemon" in their username that have been suspended/deleted within the last 24 hours. There are also accounts that use Poke or Poki in their name getting banned as well, although those aren't trademarked. It seems to be an automation that's happening, but there's very little factual information out there, and it's causing a lot of confusion, and even hysteria. Are they getting banned because of the name specifically, or because of an image used on their profile, or something they posted about. It's so unclear. I understand protecting IP, but also sharing info that could help the community learn more about what's okay and not would be awesome, too. And the meta ban hammer is VERY heavy and hard to lift - they definitely punish you before you even know what hit you, and don't make it easy to course correct. Does anyone have any information, resources or experience that can share to help this community - a lot of people have no idea what to do from here, and I don't have any direct connections at meta to go to. I've been in a similar position before - in 2009 I received a cease and desist letter for a trademark I used in a domain name, and thought it was the end of the world. My advice is: it's going to be okay. It's annoying AF, but especially when you make real connections with fans, those fans will follow you anywhere you go, no matter what happens. Hoping for resolve soon, and if I can help in any way, I'm here for it.
