With zero transparency wrt how workers are paid or how tips are distributed, it isn't supporting workers. It's just a shakedown of other working class people.

@humanvibration @PopBase Not sure about this one. The lighting, angle, and shading is slightly different. But in a more general sense, what is a photo of the same object supposed to look like? Don't tourists usually recreate iconic photos so people they show it to instantly recognize where they went?

@iamnbutler You’re right and they don’t owe us anything. I just want designers to be aware of the fact that what they see/read the most about (tools and craft) isn’t what will make them successful 😊 When you see it all day on TW, LI and major conferences, it’s easy to start believing it.

Going downtown I got a ticket for supposedly failure to display proof of payment for $125. I swiped!! and even saw my clipper balance. Apparently, talking to the agent at the station it says I got on the K train at 12:30AM instead of pm today. Appeal is on the way @SFMTA_Muni.

@theluxtravler @daniel_s_larson @SFMTA_Muni I got a ticket for fare evasion under very similar circumstances and while I was politely giving my info to the cops a gutterpunk who they also said evaded fare called them pigs, spit on them, and walked away. She did not get a ticket.

@daniel_s_larson @SFMTA_Muni Just know that a fare inspector cannot physically restrain you. You can leave the bus/train without having to show them your ID for fare inspection. They are not sworn police officers and they cannot touch you and hold you back.
