@bataille_chris @ira_joseph Good point. I haven't seen much discussion about it, but the economics of NE gas production in BC are at minimum greatly enhanced (if not fundamentally supported) by liquids production, for which a key market is diluent for pipelining bitumen...

That is quite the fig. My Q is what happens if something happens in global oil markets that reduces the incentive to drill fracking wells. The associated gas out of these wells provides a huge supply/price buffer that keeps NA NG prices down. If that went missing ... @ira_joseph

Corrected post: Liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals currently under construction are on track to more than double North America's export capacity between 2024 and 2028, from 11.4 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) to 24.4 Bcf/d. That's sufficient to consume nearly a quarter of all US dry gas production in 2023. eia.gov/todayinenergy/… Note: These projects are fully permitted and unaffected by the current pause on new permit approvals or the pending Manchin-Barrasso bill, which would institute a 90-day timeline for approval.
