The senator went on to say that Americans have a right to know "whether or not filming someone, as I see is going on right now, whether that could be considered to be assault." "Whether retreating from ICE agents is considered to be assault, and whether or not filming and then retreating is an indication that you’re a potential assassin," he added. An independent investigation is absolutely necessary, but it's the least of what we should be demanding. The agents involved in this killing need to be fired, prosecuted, and thrown in prison. Instead, the Trump administration is closing ranks around the killers. The two who fired the shots have been placed on "administrative leave" and their identities have been shielded.
