Afghanistan under Taliban rule has become a safe haven for global terrorism. The Taliban’s terrorist regime is not only a threat to #Afghanistan but a serious danger to regional and global security. Any action against this terrorist regime is legitimate and supportable.

Yet, witnessing the rise of figures like Jolani in Syria challenges these principles entirely—raising a disturbing question: are these doctrines flawed, or is the system itself deeply inconsistent? 2/2

Sometimes I reflect on the so-called “global order” and the political theories I was taught at university; the gap between theory and reality is vast. We were told that legitimate political power must be achieved through peaceful processes, otherwise it is illegitimate. 1/2

Most Arab governments are actively working to facilitate the recognition of the Taliban’s rule in Afghanistan; this is a grave strategic mistake that will ultimately come back to haunt them and impose serious consequences on their own stability and security.
