When I first graduated and started life in the grown up world, I was taken out for lunch by a senior manager at the firm I’d just joined. This was my first client facing role and was a big step forward for me. The senior gave me a piece of advice that I’ve never forgotten. He said never try and close a deal by bad mouthing the competition. It just brings the whole industry into disrepute. The more experienced I get the more I realise how right he was. Bridget never had the chance to get this kind of advice because the only job she has ever had was a few years working for her mum’s charity. Now the country is stuck with a SoS who knows nothing about the world she’s in charge of and I’m stuck with a colleague whose best shot at advancing herself is by putting out comments like the one below. C’est la vie Thank you to everyone who has come out batting for me. I’ll keep on keeping on 👍
Bridget Phillipson@bphillipsonMP

Reform UK said I was 'bullying' when I pointed out their colleague was jailed for beating up his former partner. Now, they're trying to sneak him back into their party. So I'll say it again: James McMurdock was jailed for beating up his former partner. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

In 3 years from December 2019 to December 2022, Block $XYZ more than tripled its headcount from 3,900 to 12,500. Unwinding less than half an insane COVID overhiring binge has much more to do with Jack Dorsey's managerial incompetence than whether AI is going to take your job.

@zarahsultana Speaking on behalf of the British people, I can honestly say we don’t care. Don’t want to die from hunger? There is a very simple solution. Eat.

How come if a Muslim feels unsafe because of me, that's because I'm racist, but if I feel unsafe because of a Muslim, that's also because I'm racist?
ITVPolitics@ITVNewsPolitics

Starmer hits out at 'racist rhetoric returning to politics' which 'makes people feel very scared' 'As a brown person I’ve never felt more unsafe in the country I was born in', @DrAmirKhanGP tells the PM 'To be British is to be tolerant and compassionate', PM says @lorraine

We strongly object to their plans to temporarily house 600 people in the Crowborough Army Camp, when there has been no community engagement and no reassurance of the wellbeing of asylum seekers or local residents. (2/2) @wealdengp

@Dani_Blek I would tend to agree but I think there is quite an understandable reality that once we shoot down the first one, we are inviting a totally different situation. No leader of any country in NATO wants to be responsible for what potential outcome could come.

On the eve of October 6th Gaza had amassed an army larger than any EU state at that moment, larger than Israel’s conscription warriors. That army is still very much active. Funny to view this and their allies - Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, and Yemen as a “poorly run militia.” And the only reason none of them has nuclear capabilities is because Israel made sure they won’t reach it, actively, by destroying their nuclear facilities, programs, and assassinating their top nuclear scientists.
Political Centre UK and International@PoliticalCentra

@Dani_Blek @visegrad24 Israel are defending themselves against what is effectively a poorly run militia. European states defending themselves against a nuclear power is a different kettle of fish.

@Dani_Blek Really strange argument...you understand that if one NATO ally goes to war then we all do? You really want to test Putin's resolve against 32 member states?

Waging war against a nuclear power doesn’t mean that power will be executed. Russia is nuclear yet it didn’t use any nukes on Ukraine. Israel is humiliating a quarter of a billion Muslims across the Middle East without using its nuclear capability, India and Pakistan didn’t use it and just had some fire exchanges recently. The point is that the Arabs in Gaza and their allies form an entire axis which cannot be called a “poor militia” because they literally proved otherwise. Starting from the October 7th genocide to this very day.

@Dani_Blek I was mostly referring to Hamas in that description but I appreciate that Iran are a cut above. It doesn't change the fact that Europe is dealing with the Russians who are intentionally provoking NATO allies into war. Something we cant do unless we want nuclear warfare.

@PoliticalCentra Bombs destroy structures, extremely powerful bombs destroy structures within mountains. If you want to be honest, then facts are imperative, and your main argument about a “poor militia”, like your argument about Iran, isn’t factual.

@Dani_Blek “The last shot” as if its not the most difficult and complex aspect of the operation. Without that Iran would have access to nukes. I’m all for Israeli security but just be honest about the reality of the situation.

Israel destroyed Syria’s and Iran’s air defense systems, clearing a safe path to the facilities, wiped out Iran’s command structure, destroyed all of its facilities but the one the US wanted to strike last, and use it as the final shot if the war. Israel destroyed Iran’s nuclear program, the US just took the last shot that any advanced state such as Israel could take.

@visegrad24 Gotta say it’s extremely amusing to see all these weak EU states that were busy attacking Jews for successfully defending themselves, looking helpless to the skies while their own enemies are gathering intelligence before potentially striking.
