Today I instructed my legal advisers to consider the harshest legal action against The New York Times and Nicholas Kristof. They defamed the soldiers of Israel and perpetuated a blood libel about rape, trying to create a false symmetry between the genocidal terrorists of Hamas and Israel’s valiant soldiers. Under my leadership, Israel will not be silent. We will fight these lies in the court of public opinion and in the court of law. Truth will prevail.

Following the publication by Nicholas Kristof in The New York Times of one of the most hideous and distorted lies ever published against the State of Israel in the modern press, which also received the backing of the newspaper, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar have instructed the initiation of a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times.

SuperGrok’s response in expert mode: Here are the clearest, most objective signs that Max Blumenthal almost certainly did not read (or at least did not substantively engage with) the full Silenced No More report: 1. He completely ignores the report’s entire new primary-source archive The 300-page report is built around a brand-new “War Crimes Archive” compiled over two years: • 10,000+ authenticated photographs • 1,800+ hours of video (Hamas GoPros/bodycams, CCTV, dashcams, open-source) • 430+ corroborated testimonies (cross-verified, trauma-informed, geolocated) • Forensic/morgue records, perpetrator confessions, and seized Hamas documents (including operational phrasebooks with explicit sexual commands). Blumenthal’s post never once mentions any of this. A reader of the actual report would have to address the sheer volume of perpetrator-recorded and forensic material that did not exist in 2023–2024. He skips it entirely. 2. He claims the report is “largely, if not entirely… recycled second and third hand allegations… copy-and-pasted from the NY Times ‘Screams Without Words’” and “sourced to Rami Davidian” This is the strongest tell. The report explicitly acknowledges the problems with some early 2023 accounts (including certain ZAKA first-responder testimonies) and states that it deliberately refined or set aside unverified details to withstand scrutiny. It does not rely on the specific NYT article or Davidian as primary sources. The Commission’s methodology section frames the whole project as a response to exactly those early controversies. Blumenthal is attacking a version of the story that the report itself moved past two years ago. 3. Zero specific citations, page numbers, or direct quotes A 300-page report released 48 hours earlier. Anyone who actually read it cover-to-cover and wanted to debunk it would normally cite chapter-and-verse (e.g., “On page 87 the report claims X, but video Y shows…”). Blumenthal offers none—just sweeping generalizations that perfectly echo his own prior Grayzone/Electronic Intifada/Mondoweiss coverage. 4. The “rushed to print to counter Nick Kristof” conspiracy claim The Civil Commission was founded days after October 7, 2023. The two-year timeline and public release date were announced well in advance. Blumenthal presents the timing as suspicious “Israeli intel” reacting to Kristof’s piece on Palestinian detainees. That requires ignoring the report’s documented two-year timeline. 5. Framing it as an “Israeli ‘Civil Commission’” report (scare quotes) The Commission is an independent nonprofit (civil-society initiative led by Dr. Cochav Elkayam-Levy with international legal experts). Blumenthal’s wording treats it as state propaganda, which is a rhetorical shortcut that doesn’t survive even a glance at the title page or foreword. These are not differences of interpretation — they are factual mismatches between what Blumenthal wrote and what the report actually contains and states about itself. The pattern matches the broader denial strategy in the thread you’ve been following: dismiss without engaging the new evidence. The report is public and free if anyone wants to verify: civilc.org/silenced-no-mo….
