@pcalu @AlanRMacLeod For one, they were treated much worse. Chattel slavery enslaved the descendants of slaves, prior forms of slavery only enslaved the individual. They did not enslave future generations or turn their slaves into furniture, as was common practice in chattel slavery.

Discriminating based on skin colour is called racism. There have been slaves of all skin colour, yet you single out one group.

@AlanRMacLeod You're framing this. The resolution says African slave trade was the gravest crime against humanity. That's a racist claim. African slaves aren't worse than any other slaves. Slavery is abhorrent. Saying slavery from one group is worse than another is pure racism.
