a modern nation rooted in deep tradition?
In the era of King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, the modern
design of the Saudi flag was formally standardized in 1937 CE,
preserving the green background and the Shahada as the central element
of the Saudi flag.
During the era of King Abdulaziz (the Founder), the flag included a white
vertical stripe on the hoist side, creating a strong visual contrast as the
Kingdom was unified.

As the Saudi state was re-established, new visual elements gradually
