Update: 200ms confirmations, shielded transactions, and what's happening across the VaraNetwork ecosystem putting the full picture here 👇 1/ On the Infrastructure side, the biggest update is that 200ms preconfirmations are now live on Vara.eth mainnet That means you know your transaction is locked in about 200 milliseconds after sending it. A blink takes around 300ms, so you notice the difference immediately. Apps on Vara.eth are starting to feel like normal web apps, which isn't something people expect from a chain. This is the payoff of the consensus rebuild we started in spring. It's built on our new Malachite-based consensus and shipped alongside versioned block payloads and a new client upgrade flow. In practice, that gives us a cleaner way to keep improving the network without disrupting users or apps. 2/ The other big milestone is close now too: shielded transactions. This has been part of the Vara.eth vision from the start. With shielded transactions, the payload, source, destination, and value stay encrypted until the transaction is included in a block. That matters for two reasons. First, it gives you real onchain privacy at the protocol level, not as an add-on. Second, it cuts off the easiest forms of MEV. Frontrunning and sandwich attacks get a lot harder when bots can't see what's coming before inclusion. 3/ We're almost there. Developer experience improved as well. Real-time state subscriptions are live, so apps can receive updates directly instead of constantly polling. Transaction simulation is more accurate, which makes it easier to preview outcomes before submitting. And mailboxes can now be read directly over RPC. One thing that keeps getting clearer: fast confirmations plus native privacy is exactly what autonomous agents need from a chain. There's an AI agents direction starting to take shape on Vara.eth, and we'll share more on that soon. On the ecosystem side, teams have kept launching even in a harder market. Honestly, that's been healthy. The market filtered out a lot of noise, and the teams reaching out now are mostly the ones that want to build, not ride a narrative for a few weeks. @Poly_Baskets, @GrowwStreams, and @smartcupleague @Rivr_DEX are already live. RivrDEX is an open-source, near-gasless AMM built for @VaraNetwork. Flat 0.35% swap fee with 0.3% going to LPs, permissionless pair creation, and cross-chain swaps across EVM networks and Solana. Your first swap doesn't even require holding VARA, since the network fee is covered by a voucher. They're not starting from zero either. RivrDEX is coming in with 11,100+ followers on X, 22,800+ Discord members, and more than 200,000 testnet transactions before mainnet even opens. Their focus now is bringing quality projects onto Vara and making sure they generate real onchain activity @poly_baskets has already shown what strong usage looks like. It lets users bundle Polymarket positions into a single tradable index, and the amount of agent activity on it has been pretty wild. Across Agent Arena seasons so far, 657 agents have managed baskets, more than 4.8 million transactions have gone through Vara Mainnet, and 1.5 million VARA has been paid out to winners. Polybaskets on Vara.eth also coming soon. At this point demand is proven. The next step is scale, starting with basket perps. @GrowwStreams, the real-time money streaming protocol, is now live on both Vara Mainnet and Vara.eth. Across two community seasons it has engaged 1,793 builders and minted more than 1.2 million XP, with nearly 7,000 completions in Season 1 alone. From here the focus is on more incentive-driven campaigns and deeper DeFi integrations. @smartcupleague is another one worth highlighting. It launched just before the World Cup, and the first campaign turned into a genuinely strong activation case study. Road to World Cup took them from 10 wallets to 260, with 96.2% of those acquired during the campaign itself. Those wallets then drove 2.94 million VARA of prediction activity through partner-funded incentives, with a 97.2% wallet-to-prediction activation rate. That last number is the one I keep coming back to. Almost every wallet that showed up went on to actually play. That's the part that matters. A big reason this keeps working is the combination of hands-on technical support and gas-fee subsidies for early users. We've already seen that playbook succeed with PolyBaskets and SmartCup League through their freebets initiatives, and the same logic is behind RivrDEX covering everyone's first swap. So that's where things stand. Vara.eth confirms in less than a blink. Shielded transactions are close. RivrDEX is about to bring a 22,000-strong community onchain.
