The legendary video for "Sabotage" was directed by Spike Jonze and shot in Los Angeles on a very low budget. The Beastie Boys dressed up as tough cops of the '70s, parodying shows like Starsky & Hutch and Baretta. The car chase was almost entirely improvised, and Adam Yauch (MCA) was actually injured during a fall, but they kept the scene in the final cut. Released in 1994 on the album Ill Communication, the song and video became one of the biggest icons of the 90s: It was nominated for 5 VMAs and is still considered one of the best in MTV history.

A new OEM trying out IndyCar in the last couple races of the season, bringing a big sponsor and employing a superstar driver, is the kind of storyline that IndyCar believes would cheapen the series.

@jeff_gluck I let my Apple TV sub lapse, offered like a 65% discount for two months and I declined. This racing is just garbage, I'm not spending my money on this.

Apple TV won't release the numbers. Apple claimed they got 1.1 million for Australia, higher than ESPN last year, but won't provide any proof and the numbers weren't verified by Nielsen.

@mlbelites_ That's exactly what I thought that day, I was pissed...how little did that fat kid know at the time what he was watching. Plus my dad was trying to eat a Dodger Dog an inning that day in the all you can eat pavilion they had in right, he was done after four. What a day that was.

@marshallpruett I've been going to this race for 30 years, all three days for the last 15 years...I have never seen that kind of crowd for a Friday, ever.

Seems like I find myself saying this everywhere I go. IndyCar races. IMSA races. Combo weekends. Racing is back, y’all. Friday at Long Beach looked like most Saturdays. Just packed with people. And so much youth. So happy for the sport we love.
