The investigation was started after I retired and started running for sheriff. Sue Rahr, the interim incompetent chief, who supported my opponent, started the investigation to use as an October surprise. It didn’t work.
Also, in 2024 there was no requirement to be a cop, or to be certified to run for sheriff.
