@Cllr_robstewart @AlunDaviesMS 22 directors of education, similar numbers of other services and hr/ payroll systems, there you go, it’s called efficiencies and service improvements, saving £100’s millions for wales. Also stop the increase in senedd members, even more millions!!!
English

@AlunDaviesMS This is an energy crisis issue and pressures would be the same if it’s 22 or 6. 50% of the energy in Swansea is used by schools - it will be similar elsewhere - unless of course you are proposing to also close half the schools in Wales? Flawed logic based on outdated ideology.
English

The intelligent thing to do would be to create 5 or 6 local authorities that can protect jobs and local services. We can’t afford 22 councils. And we all know that.
WLGA@WelshLGA
Spiralling costs are hitting residents in the pocket and are squeezing essential local services. WLGA Leader @AndrewMorganRCT says essential local services face “austerity on steroids” if swift action doesn’t happen.
English

@AndrewMorganRCT @WelshLGA @BBCWalesNews But when will the Welsh government, with their own tax raising levers, also be requested to provide further support? Surely the increased funding we’ve had this year could be put to better use rather than millions on more Senedd members and introduction of speed caps, priorities!
English

As @WelshLGA Leader I spoke to @BBCWalesNews earlier about the huge pressures facing Local Government due to inflation, pay costs, increased social care demand and rocketing utility prices of over 200%
UK Gov urgently need to start looking at options to support public services.

@AndrewMorganRCT I really don’t understand your constant moaning about the politics in England when here in Wales we’re in such a mess. Any chance of some ideas on what labour in wales are going to do to resolve?
English

@AndrewMorganRCT Yes I do, however, I asked what has the leader of the opposition committed to resolving your issue? On the nhs front, wales has had an increase in funding and despite being critical of the English settlement they have done nothing different, despite the levers they have to do so.
English

@PontyParc You do realise how the Barnett formula works yes? Unless they commit to spend more on pay and services in england wales does they any extra money to spend here
English

@GeraldJonesLAB @UKLabour Any reason why they didn’t do it when they were last in power?
English

Prepayment meters are a rip off to millions of families across the UK.
It's great news that a @UKLabour Govt will end the premium slapped on prepayment meters once and for all.
Once again the Labour Party is leading the way whilst the UK Tory Govt fight amongst themselves.

English

@cymru_inquiry @AberdareOnline @AndrewRTDavies @WelshLabour @DerynConsulting Unfortunately, your requests are contradictory to @WelshLabour policies ie being scrutinised and making decisions on things devolved. Consequently @DerynConsulting wouldn’t be interested, only want to know how they can help their labour pals!!
English

@AndrewRTDavies Which minister did agree this deal? Because literally every @WelshLabour politician is friends with Cathy Owen! Evidence is easy to find via FB or Twitter. Is @DerynConsulting the Murdoch of Wales?
English

Ministers are recusing themselves from decision making on Gilestone Farm, even though they maintain that their dinner party with the Green Man boss and the lobbyists she pays (to access those ministers) was completely kosher.
Makes perfect sense 👍 bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-…

@AndrewMorganRCT Meanwhile, in Wales twitter.com/cymru_inquiry/…
Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice Cymru@cymru_inquiry
Have "lessons been learned"? That will be a big NO then! @PrifWeinidog @Eluned_Morgan. You can't keep delaying a #WalesCovidInquiry just because it suits you and @vaughangething politically!
English

@TanjaBueltmann @trussliz She didn’t insult them, she merely shared her opinions of them. This is something that Drakeford has been doing for the last 3 years of any member of the Government. And even though Drakeford is in charge of the Welsh NHS passes on the duty of Covid enquiry to Westminster
English

@REWearmouth I didn’t rate her previously but she’s gone up in my estimations if she really did mae these comments, spot on!!
English

@Jeremy_Miles There’s another labour politician entering into a personality bashing tweet, any chance you might come up with some useful policies to help with the cost of living for the peoplin wales? You know those that pay your over-inflated wage!!
English

@lisanandy @Keir_Starmer However, if you work for or with Starmer he will sack you, but that’s your choice 😂
English

In today’s Daily Mirror @Keir_Starmer couldn’t be clearer. People have every right to go out on strike for better wages and conditions. Now they need a Labour Government to hand power to working people again.

@DrAmirKhanGP @EstherMcVey1 I live in Wales and gp’s are flatly refusing to see you and the only way you can get a telephone consultation is by declaring an emergency. Even when you do talk to them their advice is always “go to your nearest a&e”.
English

@EstherMcVey1 How can this be? You’ve been in power for 12 years, we have record people using food banks and record people leaving the NHS because of your mishandling of it
Happy to have you spend a few days at our surgery so you can see the demand put on primary care, DM me
English

@AndrewMorganRCT A question, as a labour politician what plans would you put in place to resolve the problems you’ve just listed? It’s very easy to criticise what’s going wrong but to be taken seriously you also have to have answers. Looking forward to those suggestions.
English

@Jeremy_Miles That’s right let’s not do grammar schools or indeed anything at all to our whole education system that would mean competition for students or measurement of results of our schools.
English

@Adamprice All motherhood statements, you’ve said nothing that address the article, no surprise there though
English

Tree planting is important when it’s in the right place for the right reason. But sustainability also requires us to support the livelihoods of our young farmers, strengthen Welsh food security and listen to the wishes of our communities.

@AndrewMorganRCT @trussliz @RishiSunak If it were me I would reorganise LA’s, 22 of them all with different IT business systems and a plethora of senior management duplicated on eye watering salary/packages. That’s under their control without having to blame/rely on someone else.
English

After sitting through council budget briefing for next year, looking at spiralling inflation cost, pay pressures, increased demand on social care & eye watering utility costs increasing by as much as 285%….. I really hope @trussliz or @RishiSunak act to support public services!
English

@Amanwy Well done Lee, you’ve posted a response that has nothing to do with the tweet and the affect of the increased senedd members wil have on the public purse. We can only assume there is no justification because if there were then you would have responded accordingly
