The Season is almost over, we are seeking New Members to join our Club. If anyone is interested in having taking up a new interest or any experienced Bowlers looking for a fresh challenge, then make contact with the Club to discuss. Big CENTENARY YEAR next Season. #lawnbowl

Sunday 28th July , players Phil Dennehy and Phil Watkins were successful in a hard fought game in the Eastern Valley Bowls Association Competition in the Over 60s Pairs category. Winning 19 shots to 16 shots against 2 members from Blaenavon Bowls Club. Onto the final.

Saturday 13th July 2024 we travelled to Bailey Park BC for a game in the GBL Div 3, 2 rink. Played over 21 ends on 2 rinks. Bailey Park won both rinks with a score of 38 shots Vs 33 shots and took all 10pts into the League Table. #bowls

Saturday 13th July 2024 we travelled to Rhymney Gwent for a game in the MBA Div 2. Rhymney won the game with 77 shots Vs 71 shots and took 12pts to our 2pts. Winning 3 rinks and going down on 1 rink. #bowls

On Wednesday 10th July 2024 we travelled to Croesyceiliog Bowls Club for a match in the Eastern Valley Bowls Association. This was played over 18 ends across 4 rinks. Croesyceiliog won the game with 73 shots 8pts Vs 60 shots 6pts We won on 3 rinks, but went down on 1.

Tuesday 09th July 2024 we welcomed Cwmbran Park to our green for a game in the Newport & District Over 60s League. This was played over 18 ends across 3 rinks. The visitors took all 3 rinks taking all 10pts into the League Table. Cwmbran 63 shots Vs 35 shots Pontypool #bowls

Saturday 13th July 2024. GAME DAY. Both our sides are in action. MBA are Away Vs RHYMNEY GWENT 230pm start. GBL are Away Vs BAILEY PARK 230pm start. Good luck to both teams.

Tuesday 02nd July 2024 our Over 60s team travelled to Beechwood Bowls Club for a game in the Newport & District Over 60s League. Played on 3 rinks across there was a very good battle. We won the game with 53 shots Vs 51 shots and we took 7pts to 3pts into the League Table.

Wednesday 03rd July 2024 in the Eastern Valley Bowling Association EVBA we welcomed Panteg House Bowls Club to the Park for a game. Played over 18 ends across 4 rinks, there was a good battle. We won the game with a 59 to 54 shots and took 10pts to 4pts into the League Table.

Saturday 29th June 2024 in the MBA Div 2 , we welcomed St Julians BC to the Park. 21 ends played on 4 rinks. The visitors took the game winning all 4 rinks with a big shot total. Pontypool 51 Vs 105 St Julians and all 14pts to St Julians #bowls

Saturday 29th June 2024 our GBL side welcomed Croesyceiliog BC to the Park for a game in the 2 rink Div . Played over 18 ends. The visitors won the game with 33 shots Vs 30 shots. 1 winning rink each. Croesyceiliog took 8pts to our 2pts. #bowls

Wednesday 26th June 2024 we travelled to Cwmbran Park BC for an evening game in the Eastern Valley League. Played over 18 ends across 4 rinks The home side took the game and won comfortably with 3 winning rinks and a score of 82 shots Vs 49 shots and took 12pts to 2pts.

Saturday 22nd June 2024 we travelled to Cwmbran Park for a game in the GBL Div 3, 2 rink. Over 21 ends on 2 rinks we battled hard for a good win with 50 shots Vs 41 Cwmbran. We took 8pts to 2pts Cwmbran into the League Table, great win guys, onto the next match next Saturday.

Saturday 22nd June 2024 we welcomed Chepstow BC to the Park for a game in the MBA Div 2. Over 21 ends across 4 rinks we fought hard for a win with 68 shots Vs 64 shots, taking 11pts to 3pts into the table. Winning 2 rinks, drawing 1 and going down on 1 rink.

Saturday 15th June we travelled to Pontnewydd BC for an MBA Div 2 match. Over 21 ends on 4 rinks we won the game 82 shots to 75 shots and took 10pts to 4pts into the League Table and securing our first win of the Season.

Wednesday 05th June 2024 we welcomed Pontnewydd Bowls Club to the Park for an Eastern Valley League game, played over 18ends across 4 rinks. The game was a close one with Pontnewydd taking the game 63 shots to 58 shots and took 11pts to our 3pts.
