Geez that was fast! I've had a few requests to add this to @FarmersArt, I expect the secondary markets to be quite active too!

I'm just scratching the surface like others who have just learned about this today. @chia_project announced a trading card game that is built off any NFTs already on the network. Built off of "CODE" a framework for making an interoperable and open metaverse with this first proof of concept being a trading card game using every and any NFT on the network. chiatcg.com It's pretty easy to understand at a first glance😎 Although I'm only scratching the surface, I've not seen any other system that could be agnostic to any NFT. The NFTs you own or traded to own are also cards in the game. I've seen a lot of TCG NFTs. Not to belittle any of them, I've only seen them necessarily silo'd as their own collection. With the ones I've seen on ETH or choose-your-evm -- they're not doing much more than what would be the addition of some rules and contract calls with some additional UI (since writing to the contract in etherscan isn't a fun way to play a game). To put it bluntly, I've not seen any attempt to do composability like a TCG that you provide the NFTs on any other chain. It has always been restricted to a single, centralized, contract. Although @puzlworld comes to mind as a possible exception when it comes to (literal) composable NFTs, it's (for good reason) only concerned with the PUZL universe. Which is continually growing while being shaped by their participants. I believe normally the complexity of making an agnostic and composable game would be a large lift without decentralized contracts. With the baseline of Chia NFT1, it becomes significantly easier. It is not just that every NFT1 works like every other NFT1, it's also a decentralized contract, in that the token is controlled only by the owner. It is also to say you don't attach a "Jump" function to your NFT to make it jump - you make a spend that says your NFT jumped. This is possible with chialisp, which is attached to the coin itself. The coin is a decentralized contract, there is no one that can rug your NFT1 NFT by changing the base_uri with their admin keys. Critically, it is also possible with today's announcement of the CODE framework to refer to (chia.net/2023/05/04/cra…) - it solves for interoperability - answering those big questions that come up when one thinks about how NFTs would work with video games or in the metaverse. Such as How do I use my NFT in your game? or How do I use your NFTs in my game? ChiaTCG isn't only a TCG - it's an emblematic example for building a game that can use NFTs. It utilizes CODE and NFT1. Any NFT I have can be appraised. If I can learn how to appraise anything to a set of rules, I can let any NFT be a part of the game. As I said, I'm not that deep yet, but if it's given that a project can make any NFT across the network into a game with a ruleset that assigns new traits such as, "CPU", "MEM", "FACTION" - which are based on some internal mechanism for appraising - that means you can build your own game applying an appraisal mechanism for instance, and it's not a large lift to expand on this ChiaTCG game too! I also appreciate "opening" my NFTs again. I think reflecting on your own collection is one of the joys, at least for me, I get in purchasing a NFT. I think it will be the same for other collectors who appreciate the work. In regards to chiatcg.com site I like the touch of a ⬜🟩🟪🟥 auras to cards before you flip them. I'll have to figure out if the color is correlated to its rarity and if it is something that I'm used to or not with ⬜ being common and🟥 being artifact. I do want to learn how this game is played, and will be diving in! The final name of the game will be voted on the community from May 4th - May 18th - "Chia TCG" is just a placeholder. ☀ 🌱😎

The ChiaTCG game and ecosystem are primarily community driven and we want to celebrate the contributions of everyone involved! Read more on individual involvement in our blog: chia.net/2023/05/04/lau… 1/2
